Very much alive thankyou

I met three of my very close friends over coffee today and one of them initiated a conversation on the "mulki halat". The other one said we should speak up. Do what ever it takes to show the world who we really are.

We know we are pretty much alive. The world doesn't know. We are not a country of suicide bombers. Despite our internal differences, we are an extraordinary nation for having survived so many external and internal threats. We have made it so far, and God be our witness we will not give up on our country. Not now.

I will keep this blog updated with all the fresh news i gather from around me of the zinda qaum that we are.

Pakistan zindabad.

And I shall, to whatever extent I can, contribute in my very own ways. Nice blog, lets keep it alive.

  2. Dear all,
We all should remember as we talk about keep Alive this blog, we keep Alive our selves, wake people up,do what ever we can
In reality this country is keeping us Alive, it has kept us Alive and it will keep us Alive, it has given us a chance of Living in real sense, in the sense of truth, in the sense of soul.
All we owe this country is not let her hard work go to waste, not let her pain go to waste, She has kept us alive and taken all the pain, let keep Alive for her.

  3. It is a very nice blog indeed, let us show the world that we are one nation, we stand united and will not only face the havoc - that they plan for us - but will respond with twice the force.

We shall keep it Alive. I will share my part in updating the information.

  4. Hey guys, good to see this!

My honest comment would be that there are tons of Paki folks out there with same feeling of helplessness on the existing situation and who wants to show the true picture of our beautiful country to the outer world, who really wants to contribute but couldn't find any channel to put energies in.

Blog is a great idea to engage all those people, including myself, who can feel the pain every day and night even sitting thousand of miles away from our beautiful Pakistan!

My real frustration is that we can see things going wrong but we are not able to do anything. I have seen many discussion forums/blogs etc but it's all chat chat chat and no action. Whenever we meet no matter what occasion, we talk about 'Kharab Halaat' but no one is actually doing anything. We need some good ideas of physically putting our energies in the right channel and I understand that we would need planning/ brainstorming etc. Any thoughts???

I know the objective of this blog is not what I said above but I was just venting it all out.

  5. great to see some comments.

i agree that most of the time we only sit and talk and do nothing. but putting everything we talk about on web is also something. no matter how small it may look.

On the surface we have full intentions of going viral with the idea. I am glad to have very talented friends in communication design field who can put up pictures and short films for the world to see. we should start a website soon too.

This is what we need to do immediately.
Then we can go ahead with the plans of reformation and reconstruction and take things as they come.

we should meet over tea to discuss things further and to get them done.

  6. really great idea. i think on a smaller personal scale a lot of people are doing this already showing how in the face of this everyday threat we still want to try and remain as normal living as possible. i agree its impt to show that we are everyday people who want to go out earn a living, meet family and friends not kill everyone in sight. it will be a good idea to link up with all those people...and really put the idea out :)

  8. Hi guys, this is a comendable effort especially in these dire times and you have my full support. Lets meet up, lets discuss a concrete way forward as in how we the lucky educated ones can bring sense to this madness. lets play our part, a small gesture or a big adventure; the possibilities are endless.
so where do we start? here are a few suggestions and please do comment on what works and what doesnt. I am listing down one of the numerous problems we face as a nation and some humble suggestions,

    1. problem: energy crisis
    solution: STOP PRESSING YOUR CLOTHES

Let's create a revolution of crumpled clothes, who needs to waste energy on a temporary relief from wrinkles when the energy can be used to light homes and run hospital ventilators. lets make a pledge,
I am confident and good looking with the wrinkles on my clothes, as I know that my wrinkled clothes will remove alot of frowns when the load shedding will stop.
Bangladesh has banned suits from the offices as you need air conditioning, heck we can do that to.
lets not press clothes but issues. (corny isnt it:)

    Problem:
    Illiteracy
now whats the solutions? can any one else help me out here.
guys look up the teach india campaign for Times of India, any inspirations?

  9. i share your emotions atiya :)

thank you for the activism. I am surprised to hear about Bangladesh. didn't know that. Well the same goes pretty much for China. I second your thought. But something like this needs a check system on the authority's side. I don't want to wear wrinkled clothes if i know no one in the power is serious about the energy crisis. I will wear them gladly if i know something is being done for the crisis and that my action will support the industries to keep running until they get a substitute. China is building a huge dam to cut off energy charges to support its economy. I need to know what my government is doing. So it has to work both ways. Lets not iron our clothes but lets also make sure that our efforts are not falling on deaf ears.

have you heard about TCF rahbar? I now know someone who is volunteering for it. I intend to do that too.
It is basically a program where one can volunteer to become a mentor for a group of students. One has to meet his group on Saturdays to conduct various activities. Anyone interested in knowing the details or becoming a part, please send me an email or message me on fb. I will get you through to the friend who is already a volunteer.

signing out for now. will be back soon with some great news inshaAllah.
